# Glossary

**Money God Altar:** *The Money God Altar*, is an open-source smart contract to facilitate incentive alignment between the HAI and RAI communities.

**KITE:** The KITE token is an ERC-20 governance token that enables holders to participate in HAI Governance.

**HAI**: HAI is a new multi-collateral fork of RAI deployed on Optimism with the goal of advancing RAI's cause and expanding the ecosystem of controlled peg stablecoins.

**RAI:** RAI is a non-pegged, stable asset solely collateralized by ETH.

**Optimism**: The Optimism protocol is a Layer2 protocol that is intended to help Ethereum users speed up and pay fewer fees for transactions made on the Ethereum network. 

**GEB framework:** [GEB](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%B6del,_Escher,_Bach) is a framework for deploying systems that can issue [stablecoins](https://medium.com/reflexer-labs/stability-without-pegs-8c6a1cbc7fbd). 

**HIP:**  HAI Improvement Proposal 

**RFS HIP:** Really fucking serious HAI Improvement Proposal

**On-chain**: Transactions that occur on a blockchain.

**Temperature Check:**  An informal review process designed to stress-test community support of a proposal (on discourse) before submitting live with Tally. 

**Discourse:** Discourse is an open-source Internet forum system used by the HAI ecosystem. 

**Discord:** Discourse is an open-source Internet forum system used by the HAI ecosystem. 

**Tally:** Tally is a plug-and-play UI and API for standard DAO governance contracts, used by the HAI ecosystem. Provided by Tally.xyz.
