When planning to present a proposal to the HAI community, if you're unsure of whether or not your proposal will be received well, beginning an open discussion and signaling for support / review is a good way to check if you're on the right track, and improve your idea via feedback.
Go to the HAI Discord and locate the relevant channel.
Inform the HAI community of your intentions and see if you can get buy-in from other community members.
Whether or not you use the feedback you receive during this phase for your proposal is up to you.
